Storybook reading and storytelling
is a key component of the Core Knowledge philosophy. Through reading
and listening to stories, children learn about the world around them.
In turn, this content knowledge supports their reading comprehension.
These
libraries offer an outstanding collection of authentic children’s
literature designed to support the Core Knowledge curriculum for Grades
PreK-8. These libraries take students beyond functional literacy and
provide students with a foundation in cultural literacy. Each library
includes history, geography, math, science, language arts, visual arts,
and music titles.
Knowledge
Tree has conveniently packaged titles recommended in the Core Knowledge
Preschool Sequence. Kits are available for fiction, non-fiction, and
Nursery Rhymes and Poetry.
Titles
include The Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three
Little Pigs, The Little Red Hen and Town Mouse, Country Mouse. The
